The Charred Lands is an English Fantasy/Adventure/Horror series by English novelist Josh A. Murphy. The first book in the series, Apocalypse of Fire, was released via Amazon Kindle in 2014. The second part, City of Ash, was published in 2015, and the third and final entry to the series is currently under production, scheduled for a 2016 release.
The series is set forty-two years after a catastrophic event known as the Rise, in which mankind was brought to its knee's as every volcano on earth erupted simultaneously, spawning an array of ancient creatures from within the earths core. The trilogy of books follows protagonist Zachary Jeffords as he is forced to survive and come of age in the harsh world that now exists.
